NIPPON BANZAI!
Great game from them and from the Dutch. Robben is still brilliant, too!

Group E games were great.
Netherlands 2 -1 against Cameroon and Japan beat Denmark.
I was surprised by the Japan game, they're really good.

Didn't get to see a single game today which makes me sad. Glad Slovakia won though. don't like Italy.

I celebrated Slovakia's goals so much....haha at you Italy, way to suck
Glad that Holland won, and very very impressed with Japan's showing, Honda is really something else.

Woooooohooooooooooooooo JAPAN!!
We are going to semi-finals like Okada said!!
They played great last night, minus the unnecessary penalty kick.

Yeah, so this is the "beautiful playing" Spain, right? One that can't win if they don't get referee help, one that wins by playing counter attack in the first half and not attacking at all in the 2nd...yeah, such a beautiful playing style. Jogo bonito, tiki-tiki, best team in the world indeed....
What a farce

Wow, that gif is hilarious. That is the only part about the game I hate. Players always take fake dives for no reason. And when they do get hit/ hurt they make it seem so much worse then it should be just to get the other team in trouble. Things should be done to change this aspect of the game.

Re: The NS World Cup Discussion thread
Good games today besides a few terrible calls that can really change a game. (England's 2nd goal, Argentina's 1st goal) Germany played great as did Argentina and they both deserved to win.
Well, I predicted 3 of the 4 elimination games right. (I thought US would find a way to win) Netherlands and Brazil will win tomorrow.

Didn't count on Osorio to play for Argentina
Great matches...and with each match we have less and less referees in the WC...maybe they don't like SA so they commit mistakes to get kicked out?

It's kind of funny to see all the "good and recognized" referees screwing up games in this WC.zexen wrote:Didn't count on Osorio to play for Argentina

Re: The NS World Cup Discussion thread
Yeah I knew we had decent chances... but I would have never thought we would beat a top team like argentina 4-0 ... now we really have decent chances to win this... but holland and spain do just as much... in any case its a awesome achievement for such a young team of relatively unknown players... getting this far the way they did is great in any case...
