Dsis recognizes the scrawl on the paper as the language of magic. However he can't read all of it. He can read bits and parts of it, but hasn't studied enough to know how to fully understand it. Do you show it to Faust?

Angel and scifimon amble around the city and are enjoying the crisp air. They are hanging out in the town square, little do they know that the magic shop that the other 3 are at is just around the corner.

Faust snatches the message from dsis and his eyes widen.

He stammers a bit and finally utters "Odzbodkinz...."

He looks up at j0 and Dsis and asks," Do you know what this is?"
They shake their heads.
Faust continues, "It is a telling of how to get back to the land of the origin of magic! Krishnaw is an old folk tale, but was always believed to exist by mages. This is their language! It also talks of a large stockpile of magical equipment that was buried in an earthquake. The whole armory was swallowed whole! Apparently, this man tried coming to get more manpower to help search for it, but ... well how did you get this???" He looks quickly at j0.

"Ahh, nevermind how you got it. I will go pack my bags and head there now!" He starts to run off, but falls due to his leg injury. "Curses on you vile pigdog! If you hadn't bitten my leg i would be half way to Krishnaw by now!" He spits when he says pigdog.

He hands Dsis the message and translates it for him. What do you want to do?

Oh powerful wind spirits! I summon a healing breeze to fix faust's leg!

Well If we have a chance to get enchanted weapons and maybe learn better macig i say we go fot it....

Faust chuckles. "Nice try sonny, but this bum leg of mine is bum permanently. No amount of magic can fix this. If you want to go, you should leave quietly and quickly. Gather enough supplies for a 2 week travel. Hopefully you can make it inside the borders. I already translated it for you, so you have as much info as i do regarding the location. Good luck Dsister, you will need it."

He pats Dsis's shoulder and slumps off tired and dejected.

So what were you going to offer me before we were rudely interrupted?

The translated message is basically just a bunch of random explanations of what he was seeing. It ends with the outskirts of town, and goes all the way back up to where he started is journey down to where we are now.

One of the Rangers might be able to lead the way along this path.

First you need to get supplies and rest up. Would you like to shop at any specific stores before you head out?

The Market and Armory.

mako j0 and dsis all walk out of the magic shop and come into the town square. They see Angel and Scifi and explain to them what has been happening and what they found.

They decide to go shopping before heading out. j0 wants to hit market street and the armory. "What do you want?" each shop keeper asks.

"Ok," says Faust, "Let me introduce myself. I am Faust, a fire mage of this city." He bows. "It is my duty to test young mages for battle worthiness. And it seems that you passed with flying colors, literally..." He rubs his back where Dsis landed on it. "Further this is my shop. I can offer you a--"

j0 walks in at this time and sees Dsis talking with the strange old man. j0 turns to Dsis and holds out the tattered paper that the message is written on. Do you want to show it to Faust, or only Dsis?

I meant this.

Faust meant a discount at his store. all his wares, save the very precious, would be a few coins off for you.

Let's go back to Faust's store.

Dsis heads back to Faust's shop to look at what he might buy.

j0 is wondering what he should buy, the vendors recommend rations and cloaks. they also recommend flint and tender kits. Further they say a it is a good idea to have walking sticks. And they try to sell you charms and other trinkets for good luck.
The armory is much the same, except they try to get j0 to buy new weapons and armor.

I guess I'll take a couple mana potions. They'll probably come in handy
And a spellbook!

I will buy rations for everybody, and one cloak for rain, also for everybody.

With weapons I want to grab a hunting knife.

Dsis asks the price for all of his stuff, and the clerk said that is 35 gold, but since you got a discount... 25 gold.

The mana potions were originally 10 each and the spellbook was 15.
He gave you a discount on the potions, but not the spellbook, is this ok?

j0 asks the price for rations for 2 weeks for 5 people, 5 cloaks, and a hunting knife. The clerk happily tell s him the price is 5 gold for each person's rations, 10 gold for each cloak, and 15 for that hunting knife.
That is a grand total of 90 gold.

I'll just take the spellbook for now.

The spellbook contains only one spell, but will allow you to cast fire spells if you read from it, each spell cast from these pages has a cooldown of 5 actions, or the spell will burn up and take the page with it. Would you like to to continue?
