Ok I have been wanting to do an anime club here with everyone and now seems just as good a time as any.
*VOTING RULES*
You can only cast ONE of your votes toward any of the series you submitted. So I submitted 2, I can only vote for one of my submissions. The other TWO votes must go to other series. You cannot vote for the same anime twice.

Looks like we have a winner! The Irresponsible Captain Tylor! We will be watching the ENGLISH dubs for this show, as they are very well done.
Second place goes to Tengen Toppa gurren Lagann, and we will be watching this as normal, with subs.
Third place is a Tie! The tie between Love Hina and Samurai 7 means we watch both! Since they are 3rd place, they will not be headlining this round.
Due to protests, we will only be watching two animes at a time. Tylor and Tengen will be watched this round. Better luck next time folks.

The movies will be watched mostly on the weekends, I will post a query for it ahead of time if people are willing and available to watch a movie that weekend.

Provide options. We provide the final tally. Let's try this. After 2 submissions per person (minimum, can be more), submissions are suspended for the week. We then vote on the list. Everybody gets gets 3 votes, but nobody can vote on one anime more than once. Also you can only cast ONE vote for all of your submissions. That means 2 votes must go elsewhere. This should help keep things interesting. After the voting we watch the highest voted anime or two. ALSO: This club will encourage new anime submissions every round. You cannot submit the any anime that has been submitted already until after we have watched 3 animes. [*note* subject to change at any time for any reason without notice]

Yes movie or series. It does not have to be Japanese anime, it could be something else within reason.... but it is up to the Weekly President to decide if it is acceptable. That way everyone gets a chance eventually to see what they want.

Second submission - Kanon

I actually want to start with a shorter anime just to see how this whole thing works since I've never done this before. but those are the series I'd like to share and discuss with everyone. ^_^

Maybe I'm just a cold bastard, but "Grave of the Fireflies" didn't make me sad at all.
I just didn't care for the siblings...

Though, "5 centimeters per sec" sucked for me aswell, and people said that's a sad movie.

For movies I'd like to recommend "The girl who leapt through time".
The theme about change really got to me.. I miss highschool...
I'd vote for Princess Mononoke, but it's still pretty fresh in my mind.
