Well I was excited then I opened the thread and realized you meant tv series not movie.

I really think you need to better define Anime as both shows like Voltron and Avatar: The Last Airbender can fall into that category.

I will say Full Metal Panic Fumoffu was my favorite, however if this is supposed to be more objective like the academy awards of anime or something then Avatar is the best show I have seen or at least can remember right this moment.
