Look, about the green on white text, I know it's not that good. I guess what counts is what is posted in a thread, and in the quote boxes it's black on white so that's fine. I don't even use the main forums pages to go into Gaming Discussion or Off-topic Discussion anyways so it doesn't really bother me that much. Though I can understand it can be annoying to some people.

Ah, cool, I thought you were defending the colors. As for the functionality, I hate facebook, I hate twitter, I'm bound to hate a gaming site that tries to imitate them, I guess that for people who like those two sites gamrConnect is their heaven.

The split-in-4 site is only gonna segregate more, before I only checked numbers when I found them in the frontpage, same with reviews, and such, now that it's out of the way when I log in....I'm never gonna check them...they'll lose so many views that it isn't funny....oh, wait, it is...very funny Very Happy

I have to say. In the past couple days ioi has brought back some stuff that it should have launched with. So now I'm starting to like it again =)

There are... ups and downs, I think, but I don't think it'll ever be back to being as good as 2.0 was as a whole. Some things run smoother, but that color combination hurts my eyes, the organization is crap, and... well... the site unity is just gone. 2.0 felt like a site that served a bunch of useful functions for me. 3.0 basically killed that site, replacing it with 3 sites I might care about (and a 4th which I just don't care about).

Simple. NS is a lot simpler than what 2.0 was. They use a lot more dark black than just gray. And the color scheme for this site is Black/Grey/White/Blue.
Much better than Black/Grey/Orange mixed with all the other bright as colors in all the text that didnt look right.
Zex you think 2.0 was perfectly readable and the colors were great. Our opinion are complete opposites. No point in continuing this.

People hated 2.0 when it first launched and they were getting banned left and right. Eventually people got over it. Same shit all over again. People will eventually get over this and like it.

The point is, people were WRONG last time, specially due to the fact that there wasn't any missing functionality...how do you want people to like a site where you can't do half of what you used to and you can't do anything new....

The forums are, actually, pretty great for me now... I hooked up Opera Turbo, and it has killed all loading times and flash.
The wall comments also work better than before.

Nah, it still has that horrible white (at least the blue script fixes something) and posting is still messed up, I can't open my post in a new tab and I hate that...nevermind the fact that it's impossible to browse forums since there's a lack of hot topics, and I also miss the red thingy when you were quoted

Hmmmm

I wonder where I'll go for E3 coverage now.. for the last few years Ive been on VGChartz but the new layout is so annoying I think I'll look elsewhere. Of couse, on American cable its live on G4 TV but I'll have to work for the Nintendo and Sony conferences. pale

Sony's conference is usually on the same day as Nintendo's.

but theirs is usually afterword.

guess the like to have the last word.. but they should have something good this year. Move won't cut it. LBP2 might.

It took a TON of the SHIT OUT from 2.0 which is the worst site I have ever come across. The game collection part got an awesome overhaul. The threads are now readable and clean. The way I always farting wanted them.

As for the rest of the shit. I never gave a damn about the numbers so I don't care that it's been split. VGC news is old rehashed shit you can find on other sites much sooner. I don't care about their reviews or editorials either. And that black/gray/orange scheme was disgusting.

Basically all the parts of the site I had a problem with got cleaned up and actually work and look good now so I might become active again.

For lurkers I bet the site is much better now too since its not cluttered the fart up. If you want numbers you got a clean site just with numbers you dont have to see that shitty header changing news panel cluttered with shit news and forum posts etc. Anybody who uses VGC for news purposes is an idiot I'm sorry. As for people bitching about VGCIM honestly you could just start a a farting VGC IRC channel and if you think 2.0 looked better than 3.0 you are delusional. If you complain about the ads there is always adblock and if you refuse to use it for whatever reason thats your problem.

You think like that because the only thing that you used was the forum and the forum itself got cleaner, but for people who liked to see news, numbers and threads in the same page it was great. Just because you like to complicate yourself and look at 10 different pages to get the news doesn't mean we all do. The way you could see the news and all the info in VGC was almost perfect, you could see the highlights and the numbers in the top, next you could see the editorials and reviews and also could see the discussed threads or however it was called. The design could've used some fixes but now everything is soo complicated I don't think I'll ever look at the rest of the page anymore. I dont have to make 1000 clicks to get the info I want, specially when speed have never been a VGC strenght.

News/Blog - I hate. Never cared for VGC news but would every once in a while take a look at it. I will now probably never go to that part of the website now. It feels cluttered.

Review - My favorite part of 3.0 It reminds me of IGN. I dont care much for VGC reviews though but I like the looks of the site

Forums - I like the looks of the threads but transportation through the site is bothersome. I have no care for the activity stream of other users. I just want hot topics look at a couple threads and be done

VGC numbers - Reminds of VGC when I 1st went there. It is feels a focus about numbers and is simple. I like that but it is to simple and feels prehistoric now. I want color to come back to that page. I want to be able to comment on things on that part of the site.

I hardly go there enough to care anymore. Why I still go I am not even sure. I guess the numbers still get me in the end.
