Now... I don't know what to make of this... In the artist's eyes, is he setting the world ablaze in a good way or a bad way? Or is Obama simply setting himself lighting himself on fire like certain Buddhist monks once did...?

Any way you look at it, it is humorous. What do you think?

Outside the fantastic 4 I don't think being on fire ever represents a good thing. Plus his arms are crossed which usually represents frustration or unreceptiveness it certainly isn't welcoming. I mean the pose is just odd and in no way heroic.

Fire can represent a lot of things but from the pose you don't get passion or suffering its like he is burning in his indifference.

Now givin the level of Obama worship out there I'm sure its supposed to be positive. But if there's one thing I learned from all my art classes its not what the artist thinks it means its how the audience interprets it.

Hey maybe this represent how moths flock to him and are going to get burned.

I think his pose, with the arms crossed and everything, is very imposing, and that he looks satisfied and ambitious. I see no disrespect in this sculpture
