What ability or weapon would you put in the next 2d Metroid?

If you were to design the next Metroid...what cool abilities would you give Samus? Is there a gun that she hasn't used yet? Any other aspects of the game in general that you would include? Basically...let's see if we can brainstorm a new Metroid game. I have my suspicions where this thread will end up....but that's okay with me. Everything is fair game.

see teh blade he retracts, he throws that similar to a boomerang and its deadly as well as chargeable

if you throw it thru fire it can spread t same for ice, and electricity

its a wicked weapon to say the least

whip action ...kind of like castlevania . press up on d-pad you have access to a beam whip and arm cannon disabled . Adds a new way to play the game run threw just whipping stuff ..and upgrade diff beam whips.

PMS... all male enemys get killed instantly... also a pussymagnet... pulls all male enemys to her, but when they get to close they explode...

I like the whip...but it would be called a copy-cat.

I think she should get sticky bombs that are really Metroids that she can throw at enemies...who then return with energy to give back to her.

^^ Nein ! You would have the ability to combo with it say grapple them throw them in the air then switch to beam quick blast their asses. Plus the whip upgrades like freeze whip and shit makes it not a copy cat ! Or put a bomb on the end to the whip and whip then explode on contact .....or shoot a missile with the whip attached to get pass areas .

Sounds good capo. I mean...I would love to play it...but you know how people respond to these things.

But screw them...this is our game.

So Samus now has a whip/grapple beam that can be upgraded with the typical Metroid upgrades...cool.

One of these days we will find out what this glave that meso speaks of does.

As far as the pms ability goes that the dude spoke of....I think corruption could be thought of as a bit of the old rag. Have you seen her when she's corrupted? No one would f*** with that.

Ok....so let's think about some coll add-ons for the morph ball.

^easy...super suits, like she has to get a giant robot suit but she can only control it in the morph

think of it being two or three stories high and only used for certain parts of the game, also have a variety of them

They acyually have something like that in MP3....but you don't get to control it.

So you're suggesting some sort of mechwarrior cross. Could be cool.....and get this...the mech can roll into a ball as well.

basiclly it would take you into epic battles aganist giant robots, ten you could eject and capture the enimes robot or set yours to self distruct and just roll away...

Yeah...that weapon is definitely cool. Maybe it mounts to the front of her suit. Or to her shoulder pack...that way when she morphs into a ball you see its spokes.

^yeah, it really just a super boomerang, but i like that you could charge it up and use it in close qtrs, that is always something i think they should have in a game, a melee attack
