New York Part 2

So today I went to Manhattan and I used the subway these 2 events made me really want to play GTA4 and really really want to play "The Darkness" (all the subways are replicas in that game).

Thought I would share cause soon as I get home thats what I'm doing well after sleep

Didn't it make you wanna play Prototype? I'm surprised that game uses real NY locations (with real names too, like Central Park)

Because 95% of the time I have spent in Fulton station has been in "The Darkness" and it is almost an exact replica. Also lots of GTA4 is pulled from NYC. Again I spent more time playing that game then doing the real thing. So going to the real thing has stimulated my associated memories.

I would be terrified to go in those subways underground, with rats and such everywhere (no offense pichu). Maybe I've just watched to much TV and have a false impression of the New York Subway System, who knows. Hopefully, I can some day visit New York.

Rats? Ehm, did you ever take a subway? I mean, I only can speak of Buenos Aires subway, but I've never even heard of people complaining for rats here, and I've used the subway a fair amount of times also. And I'm sure NY's subway is more advanced than ours...

Like I said, all I know about them is from what I've seen on TV. So until I actually experience the sub way first hand I'll think of them as overrun with rats. Maybe I should just watch a you tube video on the New York Subway.

Also, the Japanese subways are very clean from what I've seen.

It's just a train that goes underground and fast. There's nothing to imagine. If you ever took a train, it's the same. You don't even notice you're underground, it's not hotter, and no, there are no rats.

By the way, what the *fuck* did you watch, Cloverfield? (man, that movie sucked hard...)

And what happens if I've never been on a train? Then I have nothing to go by. I picture them as crouded places, that are dirty, with hoboes everywhere. And you can't change that.

Glad you enjoy New York! Been there once for a field trip for school. Parts I seen the was museum, central park, and walking around midtown. Central Park can get really lively. I seen all kinds of people, fat, skinny you name it there just relaxing or playing sports like there's no tomorrow, I find it surprising, the parks in my place are trash landfills.
