Kenzo's 3D Artwork
This here is one of the many reasons I have been so busy. Anyways I'm very tired and can't come up with anything else to say, other then it took a little work to get all this encoded and up loaded while I'm very exhuasted but I really wanted to show you all what I have been up to.

Yep these are the happy feel good scenes (outside the subway) they dropped because they want people to be depressed, you know Pfizer is the finacial backer for Heavy Rain.

Interesting... Is that why people will be depressed when they play the game? The environments? I thought it was going to be because the models looks terrible... like plastic dolls trying to be real people... creepy stuff... Then all the people who bought the game will be depressed they paid $60 for a wax museum in motion.

This is the final project for my degree. That said I had next to ZERO help outside a suggestion for what type of lens (Ex. 20mm) and color corection on the trees. Every thing else I built from the ground up from a dynamic tree rig to animating the ocean waves, I even made the clouds you see (most people just use photos). Anyways I had to make 4 scenes (of my chosing):
1 - The Beach
This took me about a month for the bulk of the 3D work. I created the Palm tree dynamic rig, as well as the wave rig and hand animated the wave crash.
2 - The Ruins
I had previously made a version of these ruins which where not ruins but rather modeled as if the where just created. So I went back and destroyed the place did a little modeling of a few new things and completely re did the textureing most noteably adding the displacments and snow.
3 - Subway
Didn't turn out as good as I had hoped, but I can always go back and make it better. Anways modeling everything on a curve like that is a major pain in the ass and requires a lot of problem solving. Anyways this was also from the ground up and about a month worths of 3D work.
4 - Backstage (piano scene)
Due to time constraints I had to just do mostly texturing and lighting (3 days) so most of the models are downloaded (the piano and curtian). Don't worry I'm not a douchebag like others in my feild it won't be going on my demo reel and yes I cited the models I turned in.
I should note I had to due a lot of preproduction for all of these scenes which means blue prints (top down and side views) and then fully colored hand drawn perspective views for each lighting scenerio. That shouldn't have taken long but took 3 months due to all the revision and check points along the way. In the end I had 25 drawnings for the 4 scenes, half fully colored.

Actually if I get the time (which I probably won't) I'm going to turn the subway into a UT 2004 level so we could have a death match there. Obviously I would expand it.
